Lifestyle associated disorders have always been a hazard for the advancement of chronic diseases. Therefore, use natural dietary sources is proved to be safe reducing occurrence and management Okra along with its various parts has used treatment several The present study was done examine ameliorating effect okra seed oil on hypercholesterolemic rats. Spargue Dawley Rats were randomly divided into five groups fed selected experimental diets period 30 days. After inducing hypercholesterolemia, rats in 6%, 12% 18% respectively mixed their normal diet. Decrease cholesterol LDL observed group 2, 3 4. Increase HDL also 4 from 24.33 ± 1.29 25.33 1.29, 23 2.94 25 23.67 26.67 at day 28. A decrease pattern triglycerides 74 2.22 72 2.22, 1.63 68 3.11 66.67 2.45 potential ameliorate hypercholesterolemia. This vegetable can part medical nutrition therapy.
